Anthony attends the Merthyr Tydfil Corps where he plays with the Corps Fellowship Band.

He retired from the Welsh Ambulance Service after 25 years service and has been married to Lynne for 47 years. They have 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Over the last 60 years he has played with Abersychan, Pontypool, Bargoed, Treharris and Merthyr Tydfil Salvation Army bands and Oakdale and Ebbw Valley contesting bands and currently with Markham Colliery band.

One of his favourite band pieces is the march "Land of Song" because it was written for the Welsh School of Music at Coleg Y Fro when He was a student there.

One of his favourite contesting band pieces is "A Malvern Suite" because that was the piece That he played with Ebbw Valley Brass when they won the 4th section National Championships in 2013, that being the proudest moment of Anthony's banding career.

Another outstanding memory that he has is the Easter campaign to Oslo in Norway in 1992 with Merthyr Tydfil Salvation Army Band.

Anthony's says "After playing for many years I still find an enormous amount of enjoyment playing with a brass band".
